About the Foundation
Our Mission
The mission of Nico’s Hope for Life Foundation is dedicated to Prevent Suicide and Promote Mental Health Awareness: “the SILENT EPIDEMIC.”
Nico’s Hope for Life Foundation will assist organizations through educational and awareness programs that equip young adults, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources through developing, funding programs, activities and events.
Nico’s Foundation hope is to combat the STIGMAS associated with mental illness and raise awareness; the ultimate goal is Suicide Prevention. Our website and other activities will provide information about suicide prevention and mental health resources available from local, state and national organizations. We believe that awareness and education are the first steps to prevention. Nico’s Hope for Life Foundation is a non-profit 501c3.
Nico´s Story
My Baby My Nico…
Nico was my only son, My Life My Soul My
Purpose. We shared and did everything together.
Nico was a beautiful soul with a heart of gold.
He saw the good in all people. He always put his
feelings to the side and cared more for others
and put others before him. There was never a
stranger in his eyes. He loved life to the fullest and
had a free spirit. He had a beautiful sense of humor,
always smiling and making others laugh, the life and
light of the room. He would always say; ‘It’s All Good” He was very intelligent with that entrepreneurial spirit that never stopped…His freshman year he came with an idea for a Bagel Food Truck, Bagels and Bites…never stopped there, he had many good ideas and strived to succeed. He had a creativity in art and music, selling art covers for albums and writing music.
On June 4th, 2018 at 6:33pm our lives changed forever. My Nico lost his battle to Mental Health, the “Silent Epidemic” of young adult suicide. In trying to come to terms with what happened, I began researching young adult suicide and mental health. The statistics are very alarming. Over 100 young adults this week will become victims of youth suicide. Young adult suicide can be prevented, and that is what Nico Hope for Life Foundation is all about.
